At Tranquil Minds Counselling, we believe in clear communication and dedicated support. Below, you'll find answers to key questions about our trauma-informed counselling services for children, teenagers, and adults, including individual, couples, and parent-child appointments. We offer both in-person and virtual sessions from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.

What are some of the most common questions people ask about counselling, your services, or booking an appointment?

Appointments can be booked online through the Jane app. If it is your first time booking at Tranquil Minds Counselling you will need to create an account through the Jane App. The Jane booking site will walk you through setting up your account. If you have issues setting up the account, please email tranquilmindsyk@gmail.com. Press the 'Book Now' button on this page and it will bring you to the online booking page. If you would like assistance in booking your appointments, please email tranquilmindsyk@gmail.com. Don't see an appointment time that works for you? Please email tranquilmindsyk@gmail.com and Andrea will reach out to find a time that may work better with your schedule.

Office Location

The office is located at 4917 48th street (Coldwell Banker Building) on the second floor. Please arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment. The door may be locked; the Counsellor will open the door prior to your scheduled time. Street parking is available (metered parking during the weekdays).

How do payments work? Do you accept insurance, and if so, how does that process go?

Direct billing to most insurance providers is available. You will need to upload and complete the insurance forms in the Jane App, along with the consent form for Tranquil Minds to direct bill the insurance company. A credit card is held on file and the co-pay will be taken off the credit card on file. Some insurance providers may require the client to pay for the counselling session and submit reimbursement through their benefit plan directly.

What types of counselling services does Tranquil Minds Counselling offer?

We offer trauma-informed counselling for children, teenagers, and adults, including individual and parent/child appointments. Our services are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.

Are appointments available in-person or virtually?

Yes, we offer both in-person and virtual appointments to accommodate your needs and preferences. You can choose the format that works best for you when booking.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment?

Appointment changes/cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance, either by email or by directly cancelling on the online booking page.
